Its such a cool night
Shrouded in total darkness
Taking time off to admire my surroundings
The breathtaking night view from my window
Into the bright lights twinkling in the distance
Hearing the distant rumble of an aerplane flying past
Just standing still and immersing myself in the quietness of the night
A peace comes over me
I am reminded of past memories
Fond memories that happened not too long ago
And that just brings a smile to my face
That continues through the night....
