I had an interesting morning at work today. There was some sort of power drill going on where the power supply was cut off. It occurred around 10am and lasted all the way to 12pm. During that time, the office became pretty chaotic with people walking around and not working..and it was pretty dim as well. There was also food going around and even a mini phototaking session..heh..good thing I had my trusty camera with me.
Went raffles city during lunctime. Looked halfheartedly into Mango, but the crowd put me off. Everything was in such a mess and anyway, I have already gotten all that I needed, for the time being anyway. But the Zara sale starts tomorrow, according to my cousin cecilia who called me at work asking me to go with her today, which, unfortunately, I could not. Heh, but I can always go to the one at great world city and shop leisurely instead of squeezing with the throngs of people at the Liat towers branch which is undeniably bigger.
I have been doing perfume 'window' shopping this few days. I tried on Curious by britney which I rather liked and which smells like Blue, though nicer. I think its pretty unique. I still like Blue alot, but I think that it seems to smell nicer on other people than when I smell it on myself. Thats why I didnt buy it in the first place, cos I think it doesnt smell nice on me. A little tidbit of information, did u know that the same perfume can smell differently on different people? This is due to the body's own natural odour(the same one that attracts the opposite sex) which interacts with the molecules of the perfume to give a different smell. Remember reading it somewhere...haaha...And I tried Dior addict today which I like too,it has a sweet and fruity smell though it can be quite cloying at times. But for perfumes,I would think through my options before buying. It is, after all, not a cheap buy and would last me very long.
I wandered into Marks and spencer where I saw stacks and stacks of chocolate viennese biscuit calling out my name and unable to resist the temptation, I bought it cos I havent eaten it in ages. Its my all time favourite too, ranking up there with famous amos cookies. My first bite was total bliss, I was transported into another world where nothing but chocolate exists, just like in cadbury land...hahah. Yummmy, the buttery cookies with milk chocolate sandwiched in between is really out of this world.
Help... I am unable to stop now....hahah

Just came home from a walk with steph after dinner at home today. Just 3 days without seeing each other and we were both like quite sian half already..oh man, the next one would be 6 weeeks...hmm...we walked past copthorn hotel, past Zouk, past some nice park, past the very empty zion riverside foodcentre past coffee shop outside my house filled with people eating prata and settled down as well for tehtarik and prata..It was pretty yummy, loved the cheese and mushroom prata.. It was hot and crispy and very very yummilicious. I downed my steaming hot teh tahrik down in a flash, burning my tongue in the process. I have become pretty partial to teh tariks, probably since KL trip and have a non-stop craving for it. At least its cheap, unlike my previous attachment to cafe lattes, my fave being Olio dome and baker's inn.
And we took plenty of pics, very trigger happy there..shall post it tomorrow..
I am glad everything is out in the open now
That you are just as affected as me
At first I was quite hurt cos I thought u didnt care
Now i know
That we are both filled with pride
And guard our emotions fiercely
But I will never stop loving you
And this 6 weeks will past very fast
Cos I know you are always there in my heart

An extraordinary encounter
Today, after work, as i walking to city hall mrt to take my bus home, I met this angmoh who wanted to know the way to Funan centre. As it was near city hall, I offered to take him there. He introduced himself and Alan/Allen(whatever) and that he was from America and was a writer. As we walked,we chatted and apparently he was alone in Singapore and was going to go Japan or Hongkong next. I told him that I was from NUS majoring in sociology and that I was working during the hols...surprisingly I was being very chatty, but I thought as he was a tourist, must give a good impression mah.. ;)
It all seemed pretty harmless I suppose, but I couldnt help but wonder what would people see me when I was walking next to him, a SPG??( Horror). Thus I kept my distance, trying to keep a gap between us. On the contrary, he seemed to be walking closer and closer to me. As we reached the road juntion near Carlton hotel, he suddenly got his bearings and also the way to Funan. Then he asked me..
A: Are you old enough to drink?
T:(warily) I suppose so...
A: Want to go for a drink?(indicates carlton hotel)
T: Err, no, that would be necessary, I am going home for dinner
A: Are you sure you don't want to go for coffee or anything?
T: Hahha..yeah,its alright, really..
(And when it became apparent I wasnt going anywhere with him and we were going to part, he asked for my contact number which I refused to give of course, he could be a wolf in sheep's clothings for I all know)
A: Can I have you contact number so that we can meet up for drinks or something again next time
T:(very hesitantly...trying to look for escape, very aware that the drivers in the cars would looking at us)Err, I don't think so
A: Well, you never know, perhaps one day....
T:Weeelll, you see, I don't know you very well and all...
He got the message, as he was leaving, he leaned over and said, I think you are a very cute girl, your smile is really beautiful, all the best for your course in Sociology.
.......
I couldnt help being a little flattered, though I was not impressed. Was he for real?
One thing for sure, Americans have really glib tongues. I thanked him with a nice smile and went on my merry way...

The morning is dragging past extremely slowly. Welcome back to the monotony of worklife which would take some adjusting to, especially after last week's fun. What I would never fail to understand is how come time seems to fly past when I am enjoying myself, but goes excruciatingly slowly at times like now. Even the thought of lunchtime doesnt hold much excitment now cos its always the same few places I go and the same things I eat and see. And nowadays, I feel pretty ostracized from the rest of my colleagues cos I am sitting in a table away from them, pro is that I can slack, con is that I can only listen to their conversations, but never join in. Of course, most of the time, I am cocooned in a dreamy world of my own too,so I feel too anti-social to talk except the customary smile, hi,bye, how was lunch..etc..
And of course, I have other many other things on my mind too. Things arent very rosy with both parents as well.
Conversation with mum last night:
T:I am coming home for dinner tmr, are you cooking?
M: Of course I am...but if you are coming home for dinner just because your bf is not around anymore, you can save it
T: (patiently) He is flying off on sat
M: You can don't come home, I am used to eating alone anyway....
I have nothing to say,she was out socializing and not cooking on mon, tues, wed and thurs, and all I did was not come home for dinner on fri.
Phone conversation with dad:
T: Can I go msia on sat? I will come home on sun
D: You have so many other days, why must u pick sat, u have so many other days?
T: (very nicely) Please...can I go?
D: Well, I cant say no, can I?
Long pregnant pause
T: Well, I guess so
D: You have grown wings already, what can I say....
As it was, sun was spent with both of us not speaking to each other. He was in a snit, and I was not in a placatory mood, so there..... commandment number dunno what, honour thy parents, I am trying....its not working..

And the brownies which I had baked that day that I found seriously lacking in taste and texture which I had kept stored frozen in the fridge suddenly became miraculously delicious after being microwaved on high for 30 secs, it become soft, moist and deliciously warm, only lacking a scoop of vanilla icecream to make it out of this world..hahah...couldnt resist sharing this with u all...
For the second nite in a row, I had seafood for dinner, this time at this place called Uncle Leong's seafood restaurant in Ang Mo kio which was(if i am not wrong) featured in some food show last week. Dad brought me, grandma and my 2 aunties there to eat and he ordered a lot of food and all that he ordered were either deep fried or drenched in oil, a deep fried tofu, sambal kangkong, black pepper pork chop, pepper crab and my favourite which was crab beehoon soup. I loved the soup which was sweet, thick and creamy. Excellent dinner it was...
Had a very relaxed day after the seemingly hectic and tiring past few days, managed to catch up on my readings(novels)...hahah...and some sleep. Read some accounts of the arts camp in some ppl's blogs and the fun the councillors all had and though they were very deprived of sleep, it all sounded very fun, so fun that I feel a little left out, oh well, there is always oweek, though I dont think it would be as fun as arts camp, but there is always next year though. And I has a great week myself too.
Back to work I got tomorrow, so not looking forward to it. I kinda miss school and miss seeing everybody, though I certainly do not miss lessons

I had a really fun and enjoyable time for the past couple of days..i took two days off from work to spend more time with steph cos he is flying off soon. We went to east coast beach on thurs where we had a super time sunning and dipping in the water, both of us were lobster red before the sun was out. After sunning,we went for a mini marathorn of cycling for him and rollerblading for him which was around 10km. Out intention was to make it to changi beach, but we only went as far as Safra. On the journey back, my legs were huring like mad and it was so torturous cos I had a blister on one foot and the blades didnt fit very well, resulting in a swollen calf.. At nite, we met the kaetna folks for dinner at fish n co. It was great to meet up with them and catch up on each other's life and I really missed them as well..so there goes the madness and laughter again. And the food was yummy as well, shared a seafood platter with 3 ppl,so I got to eat everything, plus room for subway cookies which I have grown quite fond of recently, esp the white chip macadamia which is simply mmmmm..
On Fri, it was shopping cum sight seeing. We went to isetan and I managed to squeeze in to Mango and got a really nice denim mini skirt and a orange top..yeah bright orange, but steph convinced me that I have too many pink stuff in my wardrobe.. I am not too convinced though, would be back again next week when the kids are back in sch and the adults are working to shop at leisure. After that we just wandered around orchard and into topshop where I got another skirt, a turquiose pleated skirt which steph nodded his approval enthusiatically when I worn it out...hahah..I musy say he has pretty good taste in clothes, can be my fashion consultant. After that, we went down to arab street which was pretty cool as I have never been there before, it was like a discovery channel excursion. We took a lot of pics in a place called sleepy sam's which I suppose is sort of like a rest place for tourists but the deco was really nice. After that, we went changi airport to look at planes, again, steph got really excited and started snapping away with my camera until it ran out of batt. Dinner was at popeye's which has really nice fried chicken. But the real KT(I thought, was the buttermilk biscuit which is sort of like scones and comes with maple syrup and the sides of colesaw and whipped potato was way better than KFC's.
Today, I went with steph and his 'brothers' to Johor for a shopping trip. We took a bus there and back which is actually much faster than driving there, in my opinion. We went straight to citysquare shopping centre which is like this super huge place filled with shops and ppl. The guys and the girls split up and we headed straight for the FOS outlet where I got 3 shirts and super KT price, a purple abercrombie and fitch, blue JLO, and another pink shirt which says sugar and spice and everything nice...hmm,doesnt that sound familiar?? hahah. Then we headed to mango where once again, it was madness inside, the prices were much cheaper than that of Singapore lah, so I just bought a nice turquoise blue top which didnt have my size in Singapore. After all that spending, I decided to rein myself in, and thus for the rest of the time there, I did not buy anything else, pretty proud of my willpower actually..haah... My new found dessert kaki and I headed to some cafe and ordered a tiramisu, choc cheesecake and choc mousse cake and a strawberry smoothie..hahah..that was before we discovered there was Secret recipe in the mall, I was damn sad after that...hahh..the cakes was alright la, but I didnt like the orange peel in the choc mousse and the cheesecake was too hard. The tiramisu was nice though..
After that, we took a cab down to this seafood restaurant next to the sea which sold seafood at super cheap prices. We only paid about 30 ringgit per head, and trust me, we ordere a lot of food. I liked the chili crab with fried bun,but thought there was not enough sauce and the crab meat was kind of tough but the steamed fish was very fresh. One work- satisfying meal...hahah... It was quite a good trip, I only spent about $100 all on food, clothes and transport for the whole day..man, was it cheap.. Had such a wonderful 3 days..
Pics I promised are on the way, still trying to get the hang of it. I shall just use my old method and post some of the pics on my blog first...

Teresa's been really busy today, from morning rite up to now, I am quite surprised I have the time to blog, but I am bursting with things to say and complain...hahah...
Couldnt really slack at work today cos there was someone sitting next to me,thus I could not lapse into my dreamy world, nor could I surf the net, much less blog..simply excruciatingly boring, so looking forward to my next 4 days of hols, yep, I took leave...Going beach tmr...wheee, going shopping on fri..WHEEEE...I love the words, the Mango sale is now on at Isetan..muaha..
After work, I rushed down to orchard lib to return some overdue books(thats how I learnt about the mango sale, they actually cordoned off the area...woahooo.. Then I rushed home for dinner, mum was out for the 3rd consecutive day,my maid cooked some pretty tasty noodles. THen I baked brownies. Today, everything was done at top speed, I finished in less than an hour, excluding baking time. Sadly, today's brownies doesnt seem to be as tasty as the previous time. I baked it longer cos the previous time it was too soft and fudgy and this time, the texture is more brownie like, but the chocolatey kick that made the last one such a success despite its softness seems to be missing. I attribute it to another brand of butter than I used and I reduced the sugar as well....sigh....very disappointing..
Oh and I watched the juedue superstar today. I normally dun watch such show, but the trailers caught my attention cos I KNOW ONE OF THE GUYS..hahh...the damn good looking one, contestant m4,darryl yong. He is actually cindy's fren la, but we went clubbing together before, he is quite a good dancer and apparently quite a good singer as well..
Still learning how to use my camera today, took some pics, will post it really really soon, give me some time..hahah...I suspect I am going to get very trigger happy soon...me, who used to wonder why on earth ppl liked taking pics so much..now I know...hahah

YESSS, I finallly bought my digicam, which is the Nikon coolpix S1, it was not a very hard choice between her and canon ixus s5 and panasonic FX7 due to its sleek design and capabilities and of course its brand..hahah...brand does matter. I feel that I have learnt so much from this camera buying experience where I really reviewed each camera, looked at the specs and all, I used to be such a camera bimbo, talk to me about the features and I would go huh...I love my camera, cos I chose it,with the help of my darling of course...When no one was looking, I actually kissed it..hahah...yeah, I am crazy I know...
Cant wait to fully explore it fully tmr...hahah...what an awesome day today has been....

Sighh..my fingers hurt from removing stapler bullets from over 200 documents,a few bullets a document, strategically placed all over the paper. I was so hardworking the whole morning that I decided to take a breather and blog for a little while.
Went Bugis for lunch today, yes, again. And I am going tmr as well...hahah.. And I got a bag at last..hooray. In fact, I saw a few bags actually. One medium sized one which cost $17 which was striped, colourful and pink which I liked alot. But I didnt want to be hasty, so I looked on. Then I saw another bigger one(some brand called Zinc), suitable for school use and which came in a number of colours, like pink and purple which cost $30, I moved on, 'kiv-ing' it. Then I went to this shop called M industries which sells clothes, bags and accessories with mickey mouse design. Yes, perhaps a little childish to some ppl,but its so retro that its becoming hip again..They had bags which came in 4 colours, white, black, pink and silver and in two sizes and cost $25. Once again, I dithered between the smaller and nicer looking or bigger and more practical one. I finally decided on the bigger one. I was very tempted to get the the pink one, but decided that I had too many pink stuff and anyway it looked quite common, thus I got the silver one, which is very nice...hahah. Then I proceeded to buy my lunch of bread, again, and walked back to the office. All these done in an hour, incredible rite? I was caught in the rain, thus I half walked and half ran back to the office...
And I am going camera shopping after work today...so happy....hahah

Oh yeah, but I left out one very important item from my wishlist, which is fragrance...hahah..though not surprisingly, I too possess more than a few bottles of these. Lets see, I have a tommy girl which is my oldest one,and which is still pretty full, from my dad after the release of the o level results which I did pretty well for. For some reason, I didnt like the smell after I bought it,which explains its fullness. I have a blackcurrant perfume from loccitane and a vanilla perfume from bodyshop which was bought when I didnt have the money to buy 'real' fragrance, needless to say, they are now white elephants as well. I have two dior perfumes, one I Love Dior from my stepdad which I uses occasionally and the only from my dad, having bought the wrong one which I had instructed him too. Both are bought in DFS at the airport, so I don't think they are available anywhere else. The two perfumes that I use most often is Magnetic heartbeat by Escada which I bought last year after a perfume shopping spree, where I went around dept stores trying out fragrances until I found the 'perfect' one, and I never regretted my choice. More than half of it is gone. Its a sweet and light frgrance, suitable for everyday use. I like most escada perfumes cos if its fruity smell, though its not very lasting and the base if musk which I don't really like. And my favourite perfume is Beyond paradise by Estee lauder which was on my wishlist for a very long time until my dad got it for me last christmas after my not very subtle hints...hahah... I simply love the smell of that, really indescribable and unique and it lasts the entire day. I supposedly use it for special occasions, but I realized the fragrance I spritz on on a particular day depends on my attire and my mood. So most of the time, I use it whenever I feel like it.
I just love the smell of perfume, and the whiff of my own can just lift my spirit. I am very sensitive to smells and can correctly identify most perfumes as well...hehe.. So if anyone needs to buy any perfumes for anyone, just come to me k...
The perfumes that are currently on my wishlist are Miracle so magic by lancome, Blue by Ralph lauren, Be Delicious by DKNY and a dior perfume called Dior addict(i think)...hmm..thats it for now I guess...

I feel increasingly less motivated to blog, and seem to have lesser time too. Cos I leave the same life everyday. Go to work, eat, sleep and go out after work sometimes. When I am home, I am either stuck playing sims2, or reading books or surfing the net. Nothing that I do nowadays require much brainpower. Lunchtime is getting increasingly boring as well, there is always so much shopping I can do after all, and there are only so much things I can see at Bugis junction no matter how much I like it. Plus I have made a pact with myself not to spend so much due to last month's spendings. Oh,but I have finally decided to buy a digicam..woohooo, so u guys can expect more pics instead of words, esp when I feel to lazy to blog. I have more or less decided on the camera as well, either nikon coolpix S1 or panasonic FX7, both are incredibly cool cameras and cost about $700,but it would be a good investment especially if they can last for very long...ooh, I am so excited at the thought of getting my hands on my own cameras. Still hoping Dad would sponsor part of it, if not, oh well, money is meant to be spent anyway, especially if its wellspent, rite?

I went to catch Mr& mrs smith with Steph at Marina square after work yesterday. The movie was so hilarious and the plot so far fetched, but also very entertaining. I loved it,its like a comedy, romance and action all in one. Angelina Jolie really sizzles man, all pouty-lipped and voluptuous and oozing all those sex appeal...and so does Brad pitt. Both of them are really hot.
After the movie, we took a nice long walk from esplanade bay, past fullerton hotel, past boat quay where we walked along a stretch of road with filled interesting pubs where I peered into every single one and got a glimpse of Singapore's nightlife, thought it was all very fascinating, and finally took a bus home from clark quay. And don't know why, when I was hugging steph goodbye, i suddenly felt this tinge of sadness, for no reason at all. Probably bec its always hard to part and know I wont be seeing him for a few days. Man, I am so dreading D day,2nd july, where I wont see him for 6 long weeks. Just hope I wont make a fool out of myself then.
And finally, this morning, after being absent from the gym in God knows how long, I finally mustered the willpower to wake up at 6.20am to go, it took every ounce of self discipline that I possessed, but I made it...hah. And it felt very satisfying afterwards. After the workout, not during, where I would feel all toned and healthy..
And today, on the bus to work,I lost my balance and I fell on someone seated and the magazine I was holding sort of hit her or smth. Though I was very apologetic and said sorry many times, she just mumbled something incoherent, glared at me and made a great fuss of taking out tissue paper to wipe her cheeks, and gave me one last look before alighting the bus later on. That incident just goes to show how gracious singaporeans are yeah?

I had a great Sunday. After going for service and lunch at suntec, Steph and I took a bus down to changi beach. It was a very very long journey but I felt the length didnt matter cos we got to spend quality time together. We reached there at about 4 plus, armed with doritos, drinks and chocolates and sat down on the bench where there was a great view of every plane that flew past.
It was amazing cos the planes was just directly above us and there was a continuous stream of incoming flights every 3 mins. I was very very impressed by steph's knowledge of the planes, he could spot them from afar and could name the model when I could only just make out the outline of the plane. He kept up a running commentary of the planes for the first hour and his excitement was really palpable and very endearing. Probably just like me if I am in a huge chocolate factory or smth.
Its been two months and we have come out in the open about our relationship and all. He has met my mother and I have met his. Everything is going so smoothly, I cant ever imagine us quarreling though its supposed to be normal to, and abnormal if we dun . With him, I have learnt whats the meaning of truly loving someone, like giving and not expecting anything in return, but receiving so much more. To be happy when I see he is happy. There are so much more to say which cant be expressed. And after the camp, we seemed to have reached a new level in our relationship,of maturity, perhaps. And because he would be leaving for Korea in 3 weeks, every moment spent together seems more precious than ever. I am really blessed to have him... =) He even agreed to take up salsa dancing with me cos I like it though I personally feel he hates dancing and he would do sweet things like surprising me with chocolates. Man, I am so lucky...
First day of work after a one week break took some getting used to me. I was still in a very trance-like mode in the morning due to lack of sleep. But was pretty productive today, other than the leetle blogging after lunch.
Oh man, and just now while I was boarding the bus, I actually slipped and fell on the steps. I was holding my newly bought cleo mag and my wallet in the other hand and I actually fell flat on my face on the steps(no my face didnt touch the ground). I wasnt badly hurt, just grazed my elbows, but it was more the embarrassment cos when I got up, people looked at me as if I had grown horns on my head or smth...i am a klutz I know.

Yoz, I am back from church camp after being MIA for so long. Didnt really feel like blogging much after I came back cos I was too tired out to have the energy to blog about everything's that has been happening and cos I didnt have the time to really sit down and process my thoughts as well, so many things has happened in the course of one week and of course the only time I can really have lots of free time to do all these is during worktime of course..hehe..
Needless to say, I had an amazing time there,it was definitely and unforgettable experience and I got to know everyone from my cg better and my relationship with steph was also strenghtened. The worship experience was so wow and I feel that my relationship with God has grown as well and my faith has been renewed. Not to say I have grown holier, I can still be quite bitchy and mean...hahah..occasionally..but that I am more sure of my standing with Him.
Food was buffet style, and oh man, did I eat. There werent alot of variety of food, I would take a few of the main course and then head straight for the desserts. Think everyone knows about my huge appetite now and my capacity for desserts. Thankfully, I didnt gain weight, but I really really should curb my appetite soon. I drank like tehtarik for breakfast lunch and dinner for 5 days, so by right I should be quite sick of it,but today, I still find myself thinking longingly of a nice hot tehtarik to warm me up in the freezing cold office, esp cos I has forgotten to bring my jacket today.
We had half a day off on thurs where we all took a cab to a nearby shopping centre which was actually sort of like Tampines mall. We had A&Ws for lunch..oh man, wish they didnt close down in singapore. I love the rootbeer floot and the curly fries and they even have waffles with icecream..yummy... I had fun shopping with steph, cos everyone else disappeared, probably to give us some private time. I got a nice pink puma cap, a green tee and a belt. I also couldnt resist buying a Secret Recipes cake back to the hotel to eat cos the price is almost half that of Singapore's. Thurs nite was jap nite where we had to dress up as something to do with Japanese and I went as a Jap flag and did my costume like 1 hr before it started. It was way way fun and very hilarious to see the different costumes. There were geishas, seductko(dunno if its the right spelling), kamikazes, jap soldiers and pokemons(steph) and even sushis. That nite, as it was the last nite, we all stayed up until 5am to fellowship.. Needless to say, on the return journey to Singapore, i slept throughout the whole journey.
I will post up some pics tonite and now, its back to working...
Dunno why, I suddenly have this itch to buy a digicam. My own mini, personal digicam, then I can post more pics in the blog. It is madness cos I overspent last month...hahah...oh well, I would KIV it first, but I think it would be a good investment.

Yesterday, Dad and I went to Thai express at citylink mall for dinner where I was torn between my choice of maincourse. I settled for green seafood laksa in the end, while dad ordered seafood glass noodles and side of tom yam soup and soft shell crab which was delicious. I was halfway through my laksa when I decided to enquire about the lack of seafood in my seafood laksa after which the waitress realized she had gotten my order wrong and offered to let me have another pick of maincourse where I happily ordered my favourite pineapple fried rice...hee..best of both worlds.
After dinner, I treated Dad to dessert(father's day) at Coffee club where I ordered his favourite muddy mudpie which is actually 2 layers of chocolate and coffee icecream atop a oreo crust drenched in oreo bits and chocolate sauce...very sinful stuff, and its actually way better than the nydc mudpie and is humongous too. He ordered a tiramisu latte and I had a iced mocha vanilla. I love coffee club cos of its ambience and extensive menu and delicious desserts. After eating all that stuff, I really felt like a fat duck waddling about..time to go on a diet after I come back from my camp..and now, its packing time...sigh

Phew... I survived the week. I survived a full week of working without any after work entertainment. And man, was it tough. Imagine having to wake up early and think of the 8 hours of pure boredom in front of u and having nothing to look forward to after that. I survived 3 days of cold-treatement from mum cos of some funny reasons. I survived getting back results. I survived telling dad about my results. I survived not seeing my beloved for what seems like eternity. The last was definitely the hardest...And when we met up today, it was like wow. He treated me to Mccafe at great world where we ordered a really delicious chocolate cheesecake. His appreciation for my brownies were far more gratifying than any other praises I have received. For Kaetnians and other frens who have yet to try...err...I promise I will bake again..
Next week, I would be away at a church camp which would be held at KL marriot hotel, so looking forward to it...and hehe..no working and all fun....weeee.. I am so going to have a great work next week, after a horrible one this week...

I just came back from lunch. I actually walked to Raffles place from my workplace which is near hotel rendezvous to meet Isabelle for lunch(we didnt actually eat in the end). The distance was a whopping 2.5km, I found this out from streetdirectory.com where there was a useful tool which could be used to calculate the distance and I walked it in 20mins. People run 2.4 in 20mins(think natfa), so you could imagine how fast I walked and today's weather was especially hot. Thus when I reached, I was all perspiry, red cheeked and more blisters. Sorry izzy if I looked grumpy, just feeling the heat thats all. She took me shopping and I got a pair of dangly earrings and walked around abit before taking MRT back to doby ghaut. It was madness, I am never going to do it again. Shall stick to safe territories though I have to admit, raffles place was quite fascinating..
Lunch consisted of egg mayo sandwich which I had made in the morning. For dessert, I made this:
3heaped tsp of milo
50 ml or less of hotwater
Banana broken into small pieces.
THe point is to make the milo as concentrated as possible and throw the banana bits inside and stir it,the banana would go mashy and chocolatey, and the whole concoction is pretty delicious. This was inspired by the melted chocolate with banana that we would make at bbqs.
I also passed around brownies which I baked last nite to my colleagues and they were all pretty impressed...hahah...I thought it was a little underbaked cos I wanted to make fudgy brownies and they turned out very soft and moist, but intensely chocolatey, better underbaked than if the brownies were hard and dry anyway. It went very well with cold milk, especially when they were straight out of the oven. Vanilla icecream would have been even better....hmm chocolate is definitely the best mood lifter.

And yes..results are out. I checked it in the office,at 11am sharp, just as it was released. I got my predicted grades.. which was abysmal. My first response upon seeing my grades were abnormal. I actually chuckled out loud, dunno whether it was due to the shock or due to the fact that I found the sight of a lonesome A for theatre studies amidst the other Cs amusing. Maybe I should just go be an actress. My second reaction was, damn, how am I going to tell dad, he would surely slaughter me. The dam only broke during the inevitable exchange of results from concerned friends which I found, by comparison, how horribly I had done and only then did the full impact hit me. And I had to go to the ladies for a private weep,so that I wouldnt embarrass myself in public.
But yeah, I am alright now, I always bounce back quite fast anyway and there is no point crying over spilt milk. Just feeling rather demoralized now. Thats all. Just feeling rather stupid...thats all...
